My owner @Blurtsmum has been carrying significant extra weight for some time and although she knows she needs to do something about it, time constraints, raising child, being nice to boyfriend, working etc. etc. all seem to actually just apparently prevent periods of regular exercise.
More importantly though exercise is not a habit for her and so this is why this challenge has been set. I read a tweet today from @FitnessFirstUk – in fact I retweeted it too.
And I added a favourite to it.
Anyway the tweet said this -
Make exercise a habit: research suggests that just 15 mins of exercise, 21 days in a row will make exercise a habit you can't live without.
So I challenged her – 15 minutes isn’t enough to make great changes but it may be enough to establish an exercise habit and then we can build a true targeted exercise regime from there on in.
@Blurtsmum has recently been to the doctors and such a simple exercise regime has been checked so I’m not bullying her into anything that shouldn’t be tackled.
So today will be day 1 of 21.
Lets see if we can get her moving. Be back later with update.
